The Rat Race

If you haven't read the previous three articles, I strongly recommend you do, because this article builds on them.

Let me say something else before we go on.

If I had the opportunity placed before me right now to make this knowledge available to millions of people, I would not be as happy as making it available to only a few. Why do I say that?  Well, it would be useless to millions of people.  For a number of different reasons. Most, if not nearly all people are asleep.  Alive, yes, awake, definitely no.

Add to that, only a small minority are open to anything that is not in line what they have been taught or exposed to at school, home, TV (and other forms of media) or what is socially normal. Some people may retort to this and say Why not just make it available to as many people as possible and let them do what they want with it? Like I said,  even if I could do that, this information would be useless to most of them.

There is a hard way and an easy way to learn. Most, whether by choice or default, prefer the hard way.  Well, we are an evolving species after all and some day we will get it. Hold it right there.  Now, we come to the heart and essence of it.

Before we go on, I want to make one thing very clear.  I am not here discussing evolution or religion or any such thing.  When and if I use words like 'evolving', 'intelligent', 'simple',  'complex'  'design', I am not discussing evolution, religion or anything of the sort.

The reason humanity has been caught up in a treadmill existence as I alluded to in one of my previous posts is because there are two primary beliefs humans live by whether it is admitted or not.  One is we are an evolving species or the other belief is that there is some mystical supernatural being/s, and included in that is either a personal God or some Universal Consciousness or Mind that is directing our evolution.

I don't know about you, but I can't wait another hundred million or four hundred million years before we get this shit right.  And I'm certainly not waiting for some 'I'm better than anything else' Being to zap humankind into a better existence.  Good luck with that one.

Is there better.  Definitely!.  What an insult to the human race to think that it is only in our recent generations or our recent past that we are starting to smarten up.  Or to believe that we are the 'it' generation who finally discovered the scientific, medical or whatever other secrets that our knucklehead human ancestors couldn't.

Of course, all 'they' were capable of was mumbling and grumbling, hunting, killing and rootin' and tootin'.  No wonder then, that all we 'modern', humans today are capable of is more of mumbling and grumbling, hunting, killing and rootin' and tootin'.  God, that's an insult to evolution or any intelligent design theory.  What a preoccupation for our wonderful human race!

In one of the previous articles, it was alluded that we are not just living through a relentless existence on a treadmill, but that we as a race or species are actually prisoners.  Well, we won't find that 'better existence' by 'beautifying' 'dressing up' or making the prison cells any more 'comfortable' or 'pleasing'. No, I prefer the outside world to a prison complex any time. But how do we escape?

Unfortunately, I don't have a space ship for us to go to another beautiful planet and start again.

No, I can't even point you to a higher being who will make things better.

(Make my prison better you mean!.  No thanks, I don't have time to do any prison makeovers.  Just move onto the next person with that one. I am not interested)

And anyone who is prepared to wait another million or more years for the 'knucklehead' human race to evolve (for that is surely one of the ways we see ourselves as a species). Well, good luck waiting. It's going to be a long frickin' wait. That's if the treadmill doesn't break apart in the meantime and the knuckleheads on it break themselves apart.

Actually, we are not much better in our own little prison worlds than the prisoners in a 'real' prison.

Some people may not agree?  Then try picturing a person not going to work for one month, two months or more. No work whatsoever. No money earning whatsoever. I don't mean 'lose' a job.  I mean refuse to go to work. Let the bills pile up.  Let the mortgage or car payments fall behind. Let a myriad other evils pile up whilst there is no money whatsoever coming in. Then that person will eventually end up in a 'real' prison, as sure as the sun rising tomorrow morning. After of course losing everything they had in the first place. The only difference is that one is a recognised prison and the other is not.  Either way they are going to be living in a prison. Inside, outside, the same shit.

But he or she deserves it, the 'moral' society pipes up.  We are put here to 'work hard' 'pay our bills' 'earn an honest living' they say. Well, I'm not a frickin knucklehead, don't they think I know that much, and neither do I think a lot of my human brothers and sisters are knuckleheads or lazy bums, dishonest or immoral. We know that shit already.

It's time for the human race to wake up.  We have people gravely poor, sick, diseased, tormented, stressed and frazzled, most working their asses of on the treadmill, disillusioned, lost and loaded with countless other human maladies. Are we just going to keep sleeping? or are we once and for all going to wake up!?

Are you ready?

The Mind

Conscious Mind

The conscious mind as the name implies is the conscious part of our brain.  It is the part of our mind or brain  we think, analyze, plan, evaluate and reason with.   It is the part of our mind that makes us aware of our environment. It is the objective or thinking mind.

                                                                  http://ieet.org

Subconscious Mind

This part of our mind stores and retrieves data. In our subconscious mind is stored our emotions, long term memory, feelings, habits and addictions etc. All the information that may not be stored immediately or processed by our conscious mind is stored in the subconscious mind.

Supra Conscious Mind

Merriam Webster definition of Supra consciousness:

existing or functioning above the level of the conscious, rational, or logical
  (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/supraconscious)

I also like the below definition:

-  Supra consciousness is an attribute of the Innermost (the Spirit).  The faculty of Supra Consciousness is intuition.  (http://gnosticteachings.org)

I believe this is the consciousness of our own spirit.

The conscious mind makes us aware of what is outside of ourselves.  The subconscious mind is the consciousness existing beneath (hence the prefix sub) our conscious awareness.  The prefix sub can also mean under or less than or beneath. The word subconscious makes sense since our present brain evolved from our reptilian ancestors, hence its name, the reptilian brain. That’s the part responsible for our subconscious mind tasks like breathing or keeping our organs and other systems working. (http://blog.spiritualparadigm.org/unconsciousness/what-is-the-supraconsciousness).

The supra conscious is the consciousness that is separate, above of our consciousness and even subconsciousness.

The Universal or God Mind

There are some who believe that there exists a Universal mind or 'God Mind'.  It may also be referred to as Infinite Intelligence or Super Conscious Mind.   Wikipedia gives the following definition of Universal Mind:

'Universal Mind is the universal higher consciousness or source of being in some forms of esoteric or New Thought and spiritual philosophy.'

For the purposes of my articles I will focus on the first three aspects of mind discussed so far.

Whether the Universal, 'God Mind ' or Infinite Intelligence exists or not is neither here nor there as far as I'm concerned.  The same goes for a personal God.  I respect people's right to believe in this Universal consciousness or a personal God, but that implies looking to something outside of ourselves for wisdom, freedom, guidance or whatever else these things may have to offer.

Isn't it time to stop looking and searching for all these outside influences and looking to them to act upon us and our human condition and environment.   Hasn't the human race done enough of that already?

We live in a beautiful, peaceful, stress free, generous, loving world.  Of course we bucking don't.  It's time to pull our heads out of the sand and shake the dust off our selves and start thinking.  It hasn't worked so far, so what makes us think it will work in the future.

Someone may say that it may work for some people.  Look at the world. I don't mean the natural world but the human population.  There are about 7 billion people. Point the finger in the direction of any of those seven billion people and the odds are  zillion, zillion, zillion to one that you will have picked a happy, contented person.  The happy mask can make any person look happy, make them take the mask off and then you will see the real face.

I am not putting down anyone's belief or opinions and I certainly don't wish to offend anyone, all I am offering here is an alternative to what plainly and evidently has not worked.   That is my opinion, and I cannot call a round ball square.

Also this is not about success or prosperity.  Not that there is anything wrong with that.  I read somewhere a quote by Donald Trump along the lines that success is good, but success with significance is even better.

This article and the preceding two have been laying the groundwork for what is coming.   The future articles  in this series will build upon this foundation and provide a blueprint for an alternative course for human progression.  There are many good alternative teachings available in books and other media formats on alternative thought and philosophy.  I don't have all the answers but he who seeks the truth will always find it.

The general public needs this information more than ever, but with plenty of easy on the eye and easy on the brain entertainment available these days not too many are concerned about the plight of humanity.  We don't have bloody time to fix poverty or complain about crime or any thousand other ills inflicted upon us because most people are too busy running on the treadmill in the planet earth prison yard. We are reminded of the old saying about bringing the horse to the water but you can't make it drink.

It also reminds me of the prison characters  in the movie Shawshank Redemption.  Some are resigned to the fact that they are sentenced to life in this prison and make no effort to escape.  Worse still, they try to make it as comfortable and bearable as possible.  Frickin' positive thinking gone nuts. Then there are others who can't stand the thought of walking out the front gates of the prison even if the opportunity is made available to them.  They have been prisoners for so long that they wouldn't know how to cope with freedom.

Then there are those who from the first moment that their feet tread on the prison soil, they knew that this wasn't their home, they knew this prison wasn't how they were going to spend the rest of their lives.  Every waking moment was spent planning, working and looking forward to the escape.   Forget the movies, we have a chance and opportunity to make a real life escape.  We admire the heroes in the movies who make daring escapes, but where are the real life heroes who will do the same here and now.  And then once they are free, help those on the inside to make it to freedom too?

The Abandoned Hero Within

If you haven't read my first article on the subconscious mind, I strongly suggest you read it  because the coming articles in the series will make more sense.  As implied in the the first article, over reliance on the conscious mind has left  humans in this world extremely short changed.

I am not going to go into too much detail about the workings and differences between the two minds, or three or more minds that exist (depending on who you listen to).  I  will cover a bit on this in the next post.  We have of course only one mind but different aspects of the mind with different functions and states.  I am not an expert on anything,  there are numerous resources available from various sources which mostly cover the topics very well.  The knowledge of itself doesn't make any difference whatsoever.

In a thousand years, humans will still be prisoners and slaves on this planet as they are today unless they wake up from their mechanical and programmed like stupor.  Now you won't find this information in too many books,  I don't care if you read a million of them, as good as some of them may be.  That is exactly the problem. If we keep reading and learning the same things in a robotic fashion without some illumination taking place at a deeper level,  then there is no hope for (most) people even if this earth and humans are around for many eons to come.

Maybe this example as weak as it may be, may help illustrate my point that most people are very much shortchanged when it comes to living this life.   Imagine you had to do some shoveling in the back yard and you go and grab a shovel from the shed.  Mostly this wouldn't cause too many problems, just roll the sleeves up and start shoveling. Pretty soon with some elbow grease the job would be done.  Now, try doing it with just one arm.   How far would you get?  It is the same with people trying to make ends meet on this earth, they are doomed to failure even before they attempt anything. Their results wouldn't be equal to anything they could accomplish if they used all the resources at their disposal.

I'll get to the point and the point is this, the sooner people realize that they need to use their whole mind, and use all the parts of their brain and mind construct and functionality, the sooner the plane of existence on this planet will increase exponentially.

You have probably heard or read that most people use only between five and ten percent of their brains or mental capacity.  I don't think it would make much difference if they used ten times their brain capacity.  There are only so many ways you can bake the same bloody cake. Humans are going around in circles coming at things from this angle and that angle.  But in the end, it doesn't matter how we do something  better or faster or whatever ingenious solution we come up with, we are still in the same boat going in the same direction.  A prison cell is a prison cell, no matter how well it is prettied up.

On that note, I will leave this discussion and come back to it in the next post.

How To Tap The Unlimited Power of The Mind

Basically, what got me thinking about and further researching the subconscious mind is thinking about what I believe isn't working in my life and in this world.  If you know what isn't working, then you can search for what will work.

What is it then that isn't working?  I believe one of the world's greatest circuit breakers to phenomenal human development and progress has been an over reliance on the conscious mind and linear thinking.  Granted, there has been spurts of progress throughout our history, but what has really changed when you take away those surges in progress, especially the current surge in technological advances.

Majority of the world's population still follows a well worn path of work, little rest, get food, build or maintain shelter and so on.  Let's take the last sentence apart a little bit.   Let's assume for this example, that most people work on average about 8 hours per day for 5 days.  That's of course 40 hours per week out of a 168 hour week.  That's about 24% of the week spent working, safely assuming on my part, in a job or career that they view as drudgery at best and slavery at worst. That of course does not include any time for travel to and from work.  Add to this on average 8 hours per night spent sleeping and there's another 56 hours or about 34 percent of their week.  That's 58% of their weekly lives spent working and sleeping.

I don't know about you, but I have always looked at life as I have been able to perceive it and thought that something is not right.  Here we have, the pinnacle and climax of evolution or creation, for this example it doesn't matter what you call it.  Here we have these humans all around the globe, almost every single day doing the same thing, over and over, myself included.  Get up, go search for food, find shelter or maintain it if they have it.  What lunacy!

Are people stupid or crazy for doing that.  Of course not, they are not stupid or crazy, but what they are doing is sheer lunacy and embarrassment to our species, however we got here. Does this apply to everyone on this planet.  Of course not, but it does apply in my humble opinion to about 99 per cent of our population, and this is being very conservative.  I would have to say more like 99.99 per cent.

How can this be?

The next day after writing the above, I came across and watched a YouTube video that I think best explains what I was trying to say in this post and more.  And besides the man in the video has spent countless years researching the subjects regarding the mind and consciousness.  His name is David Icke and the credit for the video in this link goes to him.
